Part 1 Set up the Server Computer

On the server computer, you will need to setup two components:
1.) The Software to Capture the TV Signal and convert it to computer movie format
2.) The server software to allow you access that data stream

You will need the following to setup a server computer:

Hardware:
Intel Pentium 3 Class Computer or Higher
High Speed Cable/DSL or Faster Internet Connection
TV Capture Card (Perferrably an ATI All In Wonder Radeon Card or TV Wonder Pro Card)

Software
Windows XP
Nullsoft Streamcast (http://www.streamcast.com/)
Nullsoft NSV Tools (http://www.nullsoft.com/nsv/)
RealVNC (Optional but Recommnded) (http://www.realvnc.com/)

This article assumes that you have a computer system up and running and have properly installed the TV Capture card.
