Now we have the basic settings setup.

On to the Advanced Settings.

We need to configure the data stream going to the shoutcast server.  This is critical because it affects:

1.)    Picture and Audio Quality of the Video

2.)    Smoothness of the Picture

3.)    Any interruptions in the video stream

The NSV datastream consists of two parts:

1.)    Video Data

2.)    Audio Data

The parts work independent of each other and thus you are able to control the quality of each individually.

Before you start to configure the data stream, you need to calculate the upload speed of your internet connection at home

Goto http://www.dslreports.com/stest and select an internet speed test to run.

After the test is finished, you are presented with a graph and results stating your Internet Upload and Download speeds.  Write down your upload speed you will need this to configure the video data stream.  You may also want to try other speed tests from other locations.  Some test locations are faster than others.  Make note of the fastest upload speed that you are rated at.

Step 4 Configure NSV Tools Advanced Settings
